Sending you greetings for a wonderful New Year! I hope you’ve had a blessed and happy Christmas.
I was going to put away Christmas decorations today but we have a fresh snowfall and the lights make everything look very festive yet, inside and out, so they’ll stay. Actually, I like to leave decorations up through the feast of the Three Kings, on the 6th of January.
Another beginning of a new year – new hopes, new dreams, new goals. Along with you, I’m hoping for peace in the world and a brighter future. We’ve lived through the apocalyptic doomsday reporting during December, intense election coverage earlier, problematic fiscal issues, hurricanes, drought, and the dreadful school sorrow, among other events. The world needs an uplifting message of peace and joy.
I believe that’s why we have Christmas. “We have walked in darkness and have now seen a great light.” Let us rejoice and trust in the Lord that 2013 will bring the promise of new hope for a more peaceful world - and that our needs are met and our deepest longings addressed.
I’m very happy to have you along on this journey. And if you haven’t had a chance to buy a copy of my Christmas children’s book, The Littlest Christmas Kitten, it’s now available at Amazon (they have a new shipment). Have it ready to give next year, or now, as it’s still “the season of giving” and its story extends the Christmas joy and re-kindles hope for the future.
Greetings and best wishes,
