I think this is the greatest gift of all – for Mother’s Day or any day, to hear: “You’re fine just the way you are.” There is so much comparing body features to super models and being unhappy with looks, hair, whatever. It’s so good to hear this – especially from your Mom or those close to you. Those may be just the most wonderful words imaginable: “You’re fine just the way you are.”

Oh, the agony of finding the right ebook cover design.

For Amazon, our ebook, Mukie of a Different Color – Making a Difference by Bob Bohlken needed a new book cover. On my first attempt at getting a cover designer, I indicated I wanted the three characters from our first printed book, Listening to the Mukies and their Character Building Adventures, incorporated into the design.

When that cover arrived, I thought, “this looks really cute” but then I realized that the book is for ages 8 – 12 and resonates more with boys. Here there was a bit too much pink on the cover, I felt. But I wanted the cover to go up quickly so I went ahead and placed it on Amazon.

everyone in the world would practice tolerance and compassion toward their fellow man. He is remembered as a non-violent advocate of equality for all men and women.

Dr. King wrote five books over his lifetime, published many articles, and was a Nobel Peace Prize Laureate.

Perhaps his most noted work is his “I Have a Dream” speech. That dream must continue in our hearts as we remember him and strive toward peace and justice for all peoples.

As we approach another Thanksgiving Day, let us give thanks. We are blessed with a great nation, even with its many faults and failings. As a country and as a people, we are better off in the things that matter.

We have peace in our land. We have warm homes and food on our tables. Granted, there are many who do not have these necessities and comforts. But we are a compassionate people, and as a whole, give a great deal of money and goods to needy causes. When there are tornadoes and hurricans, efforts are made to help out our neighbors. It is said that Americans give more money to charity than the rest of the world combined.
